Contest categories

If team members are not in the same category, then the team must enter in the highest category of the members.
Entry fees are paid to the site to cover their costs eg pizzas. However, some sites do not charge for entry. Check your site page for details.
Entry fees do NOT apply for an on-line contest.

Category	Description	Entry Fee
School	Team members must all attend a secondary school in New Zealand. This includes a home school.	$30
Tertiary Junior	Usually first year university or polytechnic students. Have not started any second year papers.	$75
Tertiary Intermediate	Usually second year university or polytechnic students. Have not started any third year papers.	$75
Tertiary Open	University or polytechnic students who do not qualify for the previous 2 categories.	$75
Open	Anybody not eligible for categories 1 to 4. Usually professional programmers.	$120
